Our platform connects expats with carefully selected local professionals across categories such as home services, lifestyle, professional services, education, and more. We launched in Lisbon in 2024, expanded to Barcelona and Madrid, and are continuing to grow across international markets. Our mission is simple: to find the best service providers in in any market we operate in.


About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Market Operations Manager to take full ownership of Locallista's success in Spain, across Barcelona, Madrid, and future cities as we scale.

This role is about building and running a profitable, thriving market. That means owning both sides of the equation: making sure the businesses on our platform perform at the highest level, and that users keep coming back because the experience is consistently excellent.

The core of the day-to-day is deeply operational: reading the market, identifying what's working and what isn't, acting fast, and maintaining a disciplined execution routine. But you'll never lose sight of the bigger picture: market health, growth trajectory, and long-term sustainability.


What You'll Own

Market performance

You're the eyes and ears of the market. You'll know at any given moment what's working, what's missing, and why users aren't completing a service, whether it's a supply gap, a quality issue, a pricing mismatch, or something else entirely. You'll own a structured mismatch analysis process, track patterns, and translate them into clear daily actions. You own the relationship with every business on the platform to make it happen: daily proactive and reactive conversations, performance management, training, and more. You'll monitor satisfaction and engagement rates and make sure the businesses we have are the businesses our users deserve.

Sales & recruitment support You'll support the sales org in business recruitment, through market insights, local events, partnerships, and stepping in on strategic accounts. A healthy pipeline of quality businesses is part of your responsibility too.

Community & user engagement Support the global marketing team with local needs: engagement with expat groups, ambassadors, creators, and local partnerships. You're Locallista's presence on the ground.
